Our Local Infusion center in Bangor, which opened on February 26th, is not only our largest facility but also our fifth location nationwide and the third in the state of Maine (other locations in Augusta and Portland).

Situated in the bustling Broadway Shopping Center just off I-95, this center is perfectly positioned to serve the broader Northern Maine area, providing unparalleled convenience for our patients.

With a focus on maximizing comfort, our Bangor facility boasts eight private suites, each equipped with WiFi and televisions, ensuring a relaxing and private treatment environment. The design and amenities reflect our commitment to creating spaces where patients feel cared for and at ease.

Additionally, this center uniquely features artwork from local artists based in the Bangor area, creating a visually soothing environment that celebrates local talent. Each piece was selected to enhance the healing atmosphere, reflecting themes of tranquility, nature, and the rich cultural heritage of Maine. This initiative not only supports local artists but also provides our patients with a more engaging and comforting space, contributing positively to their overall treatment experience.

Meet the team

Since opening Local Infusion Bangor, we've been thrilled to achieve an average patient satisfaction NPS of 97, well above the industry average of 58, complemented by consistent 5-star reviews on Google—a clear reflection of our dedicated team's efforts.

Our Bangor team is expertly led by Heather Turner, Kristy Bowie, and Sylwia Skowronek, who together create an environment of exceptional care and professionalism.

  • Heather Turner, Registered Nurse

Heather is a Registered Nurse certified in Oncology Care. Heather spent time in her early years of Nursing in the Cardiology department followed by nine years as an Oncology Nurse where she found her passion assisting patients with chronic illnesses. Heather has explored many opportunities in Nursing including travel nursing, aesthetic nursing, home infusion, clinic infusion as well as hospital care. Heather is currently working on her Holistic Nurse certification and health/life coaching. Heather is growing a small business including coaching and sound therapy for alternative holistic healing practices.

"Chronic illnesses come with a level of trauma, being in Oncology for nine years allowed me to learn from my patients just how much adversity can show us opportunities to grow. I have learned a lot from the patients I have the pleasure to care for and it is because of these patients that I want to continue to push myself to keep learning and growing in ways that help people heal all aspects of their lives. I am so happy and proud to work for a company that is so supportive of their employees. I believe the best outcomes from employees come from feeling appreciated and noticed."

  • Kristy Bowie, Infusion Guide

Kristy comes from a medical administration position with over 6 years of work experience. She has worked in various roles behind the scenes of patient care. From answering calls at a family practice to scheduling to heading up the referral dept for that family practice. She has worked in referrals and insurance authorizations for 5 of those years. She is also currently enrolled as a student with the National College of Midwifery where she is studying to become a Certified Professional Midwife.

"I love helping my patients..  Whether its over the phone, in person or by being tenacious and making sure I always get the authorization I requested.   I want to give our patients a level of care that surpasses any of the care they have ever received in the past.  Caring and loving the work that I do reflects in how I treat my patients, they are my main goal each day.”

  • Sylwia Skowronek, Registered Nurse

Sylwia is a registered nurse who has earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from University of Maine at Augusta. She holds Advanced Life Support Certification as well as a Transformative Nurse Coach Certification. Sylwia brings four years of nursing experience gained from cardiac telemetry nursing and oncology nursing, including infusion therapy. Sylwia is dedicated to holistic approach to patient care and believes in interconnectedness of body-mind-spirit, that also includes emotions and environment.

"It is a privilege to provide world-class patient care in a serene, peaceful, and most therapeutic environment of Local Infusion clinic. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing team of devoted and caring individuals and have this ability to serve the greater Bangor community in such meaningful ways, touching our patients' lives, and assisting them in their healing journey."

Patients receive dedicated support from a team of nurses, infusion guides, and coordinators to ensure affordable, timely access to chronic condition care and medications.
