Take a Peek Inside Our Latest Infusion Center in Augusta, ME

Written by Woody Baum | Aug 10, 2023 12:41:28 PM

Tour our new, state-of-the-art infusion center and meet the team in Augusta, ME—our first in Maine!

Our modern, state-of-the-art facility is the third Local Infusion location to open, and the first in the state of Maine (following the opening of Local Infusion Bedford and Concord).

Our centers are thoughtfully designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind; private suites are outfitted with comfortable recliners, TV, WiFi, snacks, and refreshments.

Additionally, most commercial payors in the regional New England area direct patients to receive care outside of a hospital and instead of a lower-cost setting, leaving those in Augusta with no other choice but to drive over 40 minutes for treatment. This lack of access can have a debilitating impact on patients’ health and quality of life. We’re here to change that with convenient scheduling — weekends and evenings included.

Meet the team

After opening our doors at Local Infusion Augusta in March 2023, we’re thrilled to be receiving an average patient satisfaction NPS of 97 (that’s against an industry average of 58) and all 5-star reviews on Google – a testament to the team there!

Our Augusta team is led by Monica Richard, Jenna Paladino, and Trilby Burgess.

  • Jenna Paladino, Nurse Practitioner
Jenna is a family nurse practitioner with over 7 years of infusion experience. She obtained both her Masters and undergraduate degrees from the University of Southern Maine with an additional minor in holistic and integrative health. Jenna has long held a passion for providing the highest quality, individualized care to her patients and continues to find that infusion is the perfect place to provide both.

“What I have always loved about infusion nursing is that I get to be on the forefront of evolving science and then deliver those break-throughs directly to patients who will benefit most. At Local Infusion, I feel like we have grown the infusion process into something that no longer remains at the forefront of our patients minds. Because of this, our patients can spend more time focusing on the things they love and less on managing their illness.”

  • Monica Richard, Registered Nurse
Monica is a registered nurse that comes from an emergency department background with over 5 years of medical experience. She has an advanced lifesaving certification, as well as national certifications in trauma for both adults and pediatrics. Monica recently changed paths in her practice to become an infusion nurse to pursue a career that encompasses more of her personal patient care goals.

“I feel blessed to be part of the Local Infusion team, a team that goes above and beyond to not only treat the patient, but to provide an environment that nurtures and promotes health and healing for the mind, body, and soul.”

  • Trilby Burgess, Infusion Guide
As an Infusion Guide, Trilby Burgess supports patients during the referral and intake process by being a main point of contact and helping patients navigate the world of billing and insurance. Trilby has over 15 years of healthcare experience and feels fulfilled by being able to help patients get their treatments approved and scheduled as quickly as possible.

“As an infusion patient myself, I understand the frustration of insurance changes, surprise out-of-pocket costs, and the importance of not delaying an infusion. It's been incredible to relate to our patients and help them understand the process, answer any questions, and reassure them that they're in wonderful hands. We have an amazing team of people to help guide, support and care for our patients. This is truly how infusion care should be for everyone.”

Patients receive dedicated support from a team of nurses, infusion guides, and coordinators to ensure affordable, timely access to chronic condition care and medications.
